Welcome
to our School-Age Program!
Our goal is to offer
a stimulating program using ideas and activities of interest to the
children.
It is a social time
of sharing and learning while exploring various experiences. Children
enjoy indoor and outdoor activities that are planned to promote diverse
thinking, independence, and small/large group social interactions.
Children have the
freedom to participate in the organized activities, do homework, read
a book, or choose from the numerous games/learning centres and activities
available.
The fenced outdoor
play area contains an incredible climbing structure, a sandbox, a basketball
net, a paved path around the outside of the activity area for riding
equipment or an exciting soccer or ministick hockey game, and much more!
We provide care
for children who are 6 to 12 years of age. The students are able to
walk to and from C.R. Gummow Public School or catch the school bus in
front of the Centre to St. Michael's Separate School. The students are
always accompanied to/from school or their bus stop by one Cook's Teacher
for every six students.
Respect for one's
self, others, and their property is encourages. Each child is encouraged
to participate and interact and shown he/she is an integral and important
part of our community.
