Welcome

The JK/SK Teachers
plan and provide a wide variety of activities for the children on his/her
non-school days (half or full days); before and/or after school; and
during school holidays (PA Days, March Break, Christmas, Summer).
From our Victoria
Park location, we escort children to and from C.R. Gummow Public School
and to the St. Michael's Separate School bus stop in front of the Centre
on his/her school days.
We strive to promote
the development of the whole child in our program
- Independence
- Strengthening
of self-help skills (doing up coats/zippers, learning to tie own shoes,
etc.)
- Recognition of
letters of his/her name
- Being able to
write his/her name
- Manners and sharing
(working together)
- Tidying up when
finished playing/working
- Fine motor/small
muscle skills (manipulating scissors, writing/drawing utensils, etc.)
We continue to promote
independence during snacks/meal times. The children are given the opportunity
to pour their own milk, serve their own dessert, and carry their plate
of food to the table.
